Find the right draft, see what still needs attention, and move it toward publication without starting another copy. Content Library keeps saved drafts, scheduled posts and published content together, so you can answer “What is ready, what needs review, and what happens next?” before you change anything.

Use the Library for your workflow

  • Individuals: return to a half-finished idea, check whether you already scheduled it, and continue the same draft. For example, find your weekly-planning post before writing a second version of it.

  • Teams: use Needs review and Ready to schedule to see which work needs an editorial decision. Review the account, wording and saved analysis, then let an authorized publisher handle the publication decision. A teammate helping with drafts or shared analytics does not need to connect their own LinkedIn profile.

  • Agencies: choose the intended client profile or Company Page before reviewing its queue. Keep each handoff tied to the right account and assigned permissions; do not assume that team membership grants access to every client account. Confirm account scope again before editing or scheduling.

Example: a draft about better weekly-planning meetings is ready for another look. Find it under the right account, check its Draft and review states, inspect the wording in Post details, then edit the existing draft or prepare a future schedule if you have permission. The sample below illustrates the interface; it is not evidence of a live assistant save or publication.

Example 1 — Check the account badge and Draft status before continuing. This is the unchanged current Library component with synthetic sample content; no live save or publication is represented.

1. Choose the account and find the post

  1. Open Content Library from the sidebar.

  2. Use the account selector to choose the personal profile or Company Page you want to work with. Choose All accounts only when you intend to review multiple accounts.

  3. Search for words in the post using Search content.

  4. Choose a quick view: Drafts, Needs review, Ready to schedule, Needs attention, Scheduled or Published. Use All content to broaden the view.

  5. Use the sort menu and page controls to find older work. A page only shows the number of items selected under Per page.

If you cannot find a post, check the selected account, search text, filters, date range and page before creating another copy.

Figure 2 — Use a quick view to find a stage of work, then use Search and sort to narrow the results. This live capture uses an empty demonstration search; no customer posts or account details are shown.

2. Narrow the view with filters

  1. Open Filters.

  2. Choose Lifecycle to filter by posting status, and Review to filter by approval state.

  3. Use the date filter shown for the selected view.

  4. Open More for author, account owner, reviewer, source, tag and Library view.

Lifecycle and review describe different things. An approved draft is still a draft until it is deliberately scheduled or published. A scheduled post is not proof that publication has completed.

Current Content Library filters showing separate Lifecycle and Review fields, Created date and More.

Figure 3 — Lifecycle shows the publishing state; Review shows the editorial state. Use More for owner, reviewer and archived-draft filters. This current interface is shown with an empty demonstration search.

3. Open Post details

Click the post’s title to open Post details. Review the content, media, account, status and dates. Where available, the dialog also shows the author, review state, activity and saved post analysis.

If it says analysis has not been saved yet, open the draft in the editor and save it when you want to capture the current score and guidance for reviewers. Do not assume an absent assessment is a score of zero.

Make the editorial decision before scheduling

  1. In Post details, read the draft, its saved analysis and any earlier review feedback. Check the author, destination account and current review state.

  2. If review controls are available for this post, choose Approve when the wording is ready. To send it back for revision, choose Request changes, add a useful note explaining what needs to change, and submit that decision. Labels can vary when you are revisiting an earlier decision.

  3. If the controls are absent, use the access available to you and ask the account owner or appropriate publisher to handle the decision. A content collaborator should not assume they can approve a post because they can edit it.

  4. After approval, confirm the post is still the intended draft and follow the eligible scheduling or publishing action. Approval does not publish the post.

Team example: a reviewer asks the author to replace an unsupported claim with a concrete example. The author revises the existing draft, and the authorized reviewer checks it again before the publisher schedules it.

Agency example: keep that feedback tied to the intended client account. Review authority is determined for the particular post; team membership is not a guarantee of access to every client or every action.

Current Latitude review panel with a synthetic Demo Author draft, Request changes and Approve controls.

Figure 4 — These review controls appear only when your effective permissions for the draft allow them. Actual shipped review component with synthetic data; no live decision is represented.

Short synthetic demonstration: Request changes opens Note to Demo Author, and a note asks for one concrete weekly-planning example. The Send button is not clicked.

Short walkthrough — Request changes opens the note field; write the specific change and its reason. This eight-second sequence repeats once and uses the unchanged product component with synthetic data. Nothing was sent or approved. The numbered steps above provide the same instructions without animation.

4. Continue from the action shown

  • Draft: choose Edit in Content Creation to continue the existing draft. Saving it does not schedule or publish it.

  • Eligible draft: choose Schedule to open the scheduling dialog. Check the exact account, future date, time and time zone before confirming automatic publication.

  • Scheduled: choose View in Scheduler to manage the scheduled item. Scheduled content is read-only in Content Library.

  • Published: use View on LinkedIn when available to verify the live post. A change to a Latitude draft does not edit a live LinkedIn post.

  • Needs attention or Failed: read the status and any message first. Check LinkedIn and the existing schedule before retrying, so you do not publish a duplicate.

Actions depend on your account permissions, review requirements, connection and posting license. Content collaborator access supports drafting and editing. Publisher access supports scheduling and publishing when the other requirements are met. Analytics-only access does not grant editing controls.

5. Find archived drafts

Archive keeps a draft available while removing it from the active view. Open Filters → More and change Library view to Archived drafts or Active and archived. Select an archived draft and use Restore before editing it.

For the full editing, scheduling, archive, restore and deletion workflow, follow Manage an existing post. For role assignments and posting capacity, see Manage team access and posting licenses.
