Latitude is designed to help you move from deciding what to post to consistently publishing content on LinkedIn.

If you have not experienced that value yet, a few setup changes may help. This article walks through the most important things to try before deciding whether Latitude is right for you.

You can still cancel at any time. These steps are simply intended to help you make the most informed decision.

Start with the Essentials

Latitude works best when your Content Strategy is complete, your generated posts have been reviewed, and content has been added to your publishing schedule.

Complete Your Content Strategy

Your Content Strategy gives Latitude the context it needs to recommend topics and create content that fits your goals.

Review your strategy and confirm that it accurately reflects:

  • Your audience

  • Your areas of expertise

  • The topics you want to discuss

  • Your professional goals

  • The voice and perspective you want your content to convey

A vague or incomplete strategy can lead to content that feels generic or less relevant.

Review Your First Posts

Latitude creates an initial set of posts based on your Content Strategy.

Open each post and review it before publishing. You can edit the language, add personal context, change the opening, or remove anything that does not sound like you.

Your first posts are a starting point. They do not need to be published exactly as they were generated.

Schedule or Publish a Post

Creating drafts alone will not establish a consistent LinkedIn presence. Add approved content to your schedule or publish a post when you are ready.

To schedule your initial posts:

  1. Open your Content Strategy.

  2. Continue to the Launch step.

  3. Review the generated posts.

  4. Select Auto-schedule all, or schedule each post individually.

  5. Review the assigned dates and times.

You can also open an individual draft and select Post to LinkedIn to publish it immediately.

Always confirm that the correct LinkedIn profile or Company Page is selected before scheduling or publishing.

Improve Your Content

If Latitude is creating content but the posts do not feel right, you may not need to cancel. Your strategy, voice settings, or prompts may simply need refinement.

Make Your Content Sound More Like You

Add specific information that helps Latitude understand how you communicate.

This may include:

  • Examples of posts you have written

  • Words or phrases you commonly use

  • Vocabulary that should not be changed

  • Topics you do not want to discuss

  • Formatting preferences

  • Instructions about tone, humor, or storytelling

  • Opinions and experiences that make your perspective distinct

The more specific your guidance is, the easier it is to create content that feels personal rather than generic.

For additional guidance, see How to Make Your Content Sound Like You.

Use Content Suggestions as Starting Points

You do not need to accept every topic or draft Latitude recommends.

Use suggestions to help you:

  • Find a stronger angle on an idea

  • Turn an experience into a post

  • Create a series around a recurring topic

  • Experiment with different post structures

  • Maintain consistency when you are unsure what to write

You remain in control of what is edited, scheduled, and published.

Review Your Results

LinkedIn content usually needs time and consistency before meaningful patterns appear.

Rather than judging Latitude based on one post, review how the process affects your ability to create and publish content over several posts.

Consider whether Latitude is helping you:

  • Spend less time deciding what to write

  • Maintain a more consistent schedule

  • Create posts that align with your goals

  • Generate more usable content ideas

  • Understand which content performs best

Enable Analytics Separately

Publishing through Latitude does not automatically enable analytics.

Analytics must be enabled separately for each connected LinkedIn account or Company Page you want to track.

To enable analytics:

  1. Open Analytics.

  2. Select the account you want to track.

  3. Select Enable Analytics.

  4. Complete the LinkedIn authorization process.

  5. Repeat these steps for each additional account.

Analytics update on a scheduled basis and may not immediately reflect newly published posts or recent LinkedIn activity.

For more information, see How Latitude Analytics Work and When They Update.

Fix Common Setup Problems

Latitude may feel less useful when an important part of the setup process has not been completed.

Before canceling, confirm that:

  • Your Content Strategy is complete.

  • Your strategy still reflects your current goals.

  • You reviewed the posts Latitude created for you.

  • At least one post has been scheduled or published.

  • The correct LinkedIn account is connected.

  • You are creating content for the intended profile or Company Page.

  • Analytics have been enabled for each account you want to track.

  • Your content instructions include enough detail about your voice and preferences.

If something is not working as expected, it may be a connection or configuration issue rather than a limitation of the platform.

Latitude Support can help determine whether a setup issue, account connection, or product workflow is preventing you from getting value from the platform.

When contacting Support, include:

  • What you expected Latitude to do

  • What happened instead
