Getting started
The Scheduler allows you to publish posts automatically at a specific date and time.
To access the Scheduler:
Select Scheduler from the left-hand navigation menu beneath Content Creation.
Choose the LinkedIn account you'd like to manage using the Account dropdown in the upper-right corner of the page, if necessary.
Schedule a post
Once you've created or saved a post, you can schedule it to publish automatically.
To schedule a post:
Open the Scheduler tab.
Select the post you'd like to schedule from the posts panel.
Select Pick Time on the post.
Choose the date and time you'd like the post to publish.
Confirm your selection.
Latitude will automatically publish your post at the scheduled time.
Use Auto-Schedule
If you're unsure when to publish your content, Latitude can recommend a publishing time automatically.
Auto-Schedule initially recommends times based on general posting best practices. As you continue publishing content, Latitude analyzes your post performance and recommends publishing times based on when your audience engages the most.
When using Auto-Schedule:
Select your post.
Choose the automatic scheduling option instead of selecting a custom time.
Latitude will recommend the most appropriate publishing time based on available data.
Schedule posts by dragging them onto the calendar
You can also schedule posts directly from the Scheduler calendar.
To schedule a post by dragging and dropping:
Open the Scheduler tab.
Locate your post in the posts panel.
Drag the post onto your desired date on the calendar.
Latitude will automatically assign a recommended publishing time for that date.
Choose which LinkedIn account to schedule posts for
If you manage multiple LinkedIn accounts, you can choose which account your scheduled posts belong to.
To switch accounts:
Open the Account dropdown in the upper-right corner of the Scheduler.
Select the LinkedIn account or page you'd like to manage.
The Scheduler will display posts for the selected account.
Change your scheduling timezone
By default, Latitude schedules posts using your current timezone. If you'd like to schedule posts using a different timezone, you can update your preferences.
To change your scheduling timezone:
Open Settings.
Select Preferences.
Locate Personal Scheduling Timezone.
Enable Use a custom scheduling timezone.
Select your preferred timezone.
Future scheduled posts will publish according to the timezone you select.
Schedule multiple posts at the same time
Latitude allows multiple posts to be scheduled for the exact same date and time.
If two or more posts are scheduled simultaneously, each post will still publish successfully at its scheduled time.
Confirm that your post is scheduled
There are several ways to verify that your post has been scheduled successfully.
You'll know your post is scheduled if you see:
The post displayed on the Scheduler calendar on its scheduled date.
The post listed in the Upcoming Posts section in the lower-left corner of the Scheduler.
If a post appears in either location, it has been successfully scheduled.
Common questions
Here are a few situations you may encounter while scheduling posts.
My scheduled posts are using the wrong timezone
If your posts are publishing at the wrong time, your scheduling timezone may need to be updated.
To change your timezone:
Open Settings.
Select Preferences.
Locate Personal Scheduling Timezone.
Enable Use a custom scheduling timezone.
Select the correct timezone.
Future scheduled posts will use the updated timezone.
I don't have a LinkedIn account connected
A LinkedIn account must be connected before posts can be scheduled.
To connect an account:
Open the Accounts tab from the left-hand navigation.
Select Add Account in the upper-right corner.
Sign in to your LinkedIn account.
Once connected, the account will be available throughout Latitude.
My scheduled publishing time has already passed
If your post does not appear immediately after its scheduled publishing time, a short delay is usually expected.
If the delay is only a few moments, no action is needed.
If your post still has not published after an unusually long period of time, it's worth contacting support.
I saved a draft, but it didn't publish
Saving a draft does not schedule a post.
Saved drafts remain in your account until you schedule them through the Scheduler.
To publish a saved draft automatically:
Open the Scheduler.
Select your saved post.
Choose a publishing date and time.
Confirm the schedule.
I can't find my scheduled post
If you can't locate a scheduled post on the calendar:
Check the Upcoming Posts section in the lower-left corner of the Scheduler.
If the post appears there, it has been successfully scheduled.
If it does not appear on the calendar or in Upcoming Posts, it may not have been scheduled successfully. Schedule the post again through the Scheduler.
What to keep in mind
Latitude's Scheduler gives you several ways to plan your content in advance. Whether you choose a specific publishing time, let Auto-Schedule recommend the best time, or drag posts directly onto the calendar, you can easily organize your publishing schedule across multiple LinkedIn accounts while tracking upcoming posts from a single location.
