Getting started

Creating a post begins in the Content Creation tab.

To start:

  • Select Content Creation from the left-hand navigation menu beneath Dashboard.

  • Begin writing your post in the main text editor if you already know what you'd like to publish.

  • If you need inspiration, use the Ideas panel on the right side of the page to generate content ideas.

For example, you could ask Latitude:

"Give me ideas about AI in app production, focusing on increases in efficiency."

Latitude will generate post ideas based on your prompt.

Preview your post

Before publishing, you can see exactly how your content will appear on LinkedIn.

To preview a post:

  • Select the Preview tab next to the Ideas tab.

  • Scroll down to view a LinkedIn-style preview of your post.

This lets you review your formatting and content before publishing.

Choose the account you're posting from

If you manage multiple LinkedIn accounts, you can choose which account your content belongs to before publishing or saving.

To switch accounts:

  • Open the Account dropdown.

  • Select the LinkedIn account or page you want to use.

The Account selector is available throughout Latitude, although its location varies by page.

You'll find it:

  • Top-right of the Dashboard

  • Top-right of Content Creation

  • Top-right of the Scheduler

  • Left side of the Analytics page

Publishing your post

Once your post is ready, you have two options.

Publish immediately

To publish right away:

  • Select Post to LinkedIn below the post editor.

  • Choose the LinkedIn account or page you want to publish to.

  • Confirm the publication.

Latitude will publish your post immediately.

Save for later

If you're not ready to publish yet:

  • Select Save Post.

  • Choose the account you'd like to save it under.

You can access saved posts at any time by selecting View Saved Posts in the lower-left corner of the Content Creation page.

Schedule a post

If you've saved a post, you can schedule it to publish automatically.

To schedule a post:

  • Open the Scheduler tab.

  • Navigate to the date you'd like your post to publish.

  • Select that date on the calendar.

  • Choose your saved post from the Select Post dropdown.

  • Select the exact time you'd like it to publish.

Latitude automatically schedules posts using your current timezone.

Change your scheduling timezone

If you'd like your posts to publish in a different timezone, you can change your scheduling preferences.

To update your timezone:

  • Open Settings.

  • Select Preferences.

  • Locate Personal Scheduling Timezone.

  • Enable Use a custom scheduling timezone.

  • Choose your preferred timezone.

Future scheduled posts will publish according to the timezone you select.

Confirm that your post was published

There are several ways to verify that a post has been published successfully.

You'll know your post has been published if you see:

  • A confirmation notification in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

  • A publication notification by selecting the bell icon in the upper-right corner.

  • The published post appearing on the Scheduler calendar on its publication date.

View your published LinkedIn posts

Once your post has been published, you can open it directly from Latitude.

From the Scheduler

To open a published post:

  • Navigate to the Scheduler.

  • Select the date the post was published.

  • Click the post on the calendar.

Latitude will open the post directly on LinkedIn.

From Analytics

You can also access published posts through Analytics.

To do this:

  • Open the Analytics tab.

  • Scroll past Reactions Trend to Post Performance.

  • Select the post you'd like to view.

  • Review its performance metrics.

  • Select Open on LinkedIn in the lower-right corner of the analytics window.

Latitude will take you directly to your published LinkedIn post.

Common questions

Here are a few situations you may encounter while creating and publishing posts.

No LinkedIn account is selected

If no account is selected, you'll need to choose one before you can publish or save your post.

Try the following:

  • Open any Profile or Page from the upper right dropdown box.

  • Select the LinkedIn account or page you'd like to use. Note: company pages are nested under the personal account authorized to post on their behalf. If you have Company Page Management enabled with your license, see How do I add my Company Page? for additional details to add your Company page.

If no accounts appear in the dropdown:

  • Open the Accounts tab from the left-hand navigation.

  • Select Add Account in the upper-right corner.

  • Sign in to your LinkedIn account, or the account you wish to add to Latitude.

Once connected, your LinkedIn account will be available throughout Latitude.

What happens if I close Latitude before saving?

If you close Latitude before saving a post, there's no need to worry.

Latitude keeps the contents of your Content Creation editor even if you close the browser tab or leave the page, allowing you to continue where you left off.

My post appears in Latitude, but not on LinkedIn

If your post appears as published in Latitude but doesn't show up on LinkedIn immediately, this is usually expected.

There can be a short delay between publishing your post and it appearing on LinkedIn.

If the delay is only a few moments, no action is needed.

If your post still hasn't appeared after an unusually long period of time, it's worth contacting support.

Note on Delays

Most publishing delays are temporary and resolve on their own. As long as your LinkedIn account is connected and your post has been successfully published in Latitude, it should appear on LinkedIn shortly afterward.

When to Contact Support

If you are still having issues with posting, or are missing features that should be included in your licensing tier, contact support for more help.

What to keep in mind
