Managing your posts

Once a post draft has been created, Latitude provides several options for managing and preparing your content.

You can:

  • Edit a draft post

  • Save a post for later

  • Get AI suggestions for improving content

  • Publish a post immediately

  • Schedule a post for automatic publishing

  • Duplicate an existing post

  • Delete a saved post

Creating and managing a draft post

Drafts are created from the Content Creation tab.

To create a draft:

Select Content Creation from the left-hand navigation menu beneath Dashboard.

Enter your content into the main text editor.

If you need help creating content, use the Ideas panel on the right side of the page.

Enter a topic into the Customize Suggestions text box.

Select Generate Ideas.

Latitude AI will generate potential post ideas based on your input.

Once your draft has been created, you can choose how to continue.

Get AI suggestions for a draft

Latitude can provide suggestions to help improve or adjust your content.

To get AI suggestions:

Locate the Get AI Suggestions box below the main text editor.

Enter what you would like Latitude AI to help with.

Review the generated suggestions and update your post if needed.

This can be used to adjust the style, tone, or content of an existing draft.

Save or publish a post

Once your content is ready, you can either save it for later or publish it immediately.

Save a post

To save a draft:

Select Save Post at the bottom of the Content Creation page.

Saved posts can be accessed later from View Saved Posts in the lower-left corner of the Content Creation page.

Publish immediately

To publish a post:

Select Post to LinkedIn at the bottom of the Content Creation page.

Confirm the LinkedIn account you want to publish from.

Latitude will publish the post directly to LinkedIn.

Schedule a post

Saved posts can be scheduled to publish automatically using the Scheduler.

To schedule a post:

Open the Scheduler tab from the left-hand navigation menu beneath Content Creation.

Open the Ready to Schedule tab.

Select the saved post you want to schedule.

Choose when you would like the post to publish.

There are two ways to select a publishing time.

Select a specific date and time

To manually choose when a post publishes:

Select Pick time below the post.

Choose the desired date from the Date dropdown.

Choose the desired publishing time from the Time dropdown.

Select Schedule Post in the bottom-right corner.

Latitude will schedule the post for the selected date and time.

Drag a post onto the calendar

You can also schedule content directly from the Scheduler calendar.

To schedule using the calendar:

Drag the post onto the desired date on the calendar.

Latitude will automatically select an optimal publishing time for that day.

Change the publishing time of a scheduled post

If you need to update when a scheduled post will publish, you can change its date and time from the Scheduler.

To update a scheduled post:

Open the Scheduler tab.

Navigate to the post you want to update in the Ready to Schedule tab.

Select Pick time.

Update the publishing date and time using the Date and Time dropdowns.

Select Schedule Post.

You can confirm that the post has been successfully scheduled by viewing it in the Upcoming Posts tab below Ready to Schedule.

Edit a published post

Latitude does not support editing posts after they have been published to LinkedIn.

If changes are needed after publishing:

Open LinkedIn directly.

Sign in to the account that published the post.

Delete the existing LinkedIn post.

Create and publish a new version with the desired changes.

Changes made in Latitude after publication will not update the existing LinkedIn post.

Duplicate a post

Duplicating a post creates a copy of the existing content while keeping the original post available.

This can be useful if you want to reuse content or create a future posting schedule.

To duplicate a post:

Open the post you want to copy.

Select the duplicate option.

Edit or schedule the duplicated post as needed.

The duplicated post will contain the same content but can be published at a different time.

Delete a post

Saved posts can be permanently removed from Latitude.

To delete a post:

Open Content Creation.

Select View Saved Posts in the lower-left corner.

Locate the post you want to remove.

Select the delete option.

Confirm the deletion.

Once deleted, the post is permanently removed from Latitude and cannot be restored.

Removing a post from LinkedIn

Deleting a post from Latitude does not remove a post that has already been published on LinkedIn.

If you need to remove a published LinkedIn post:

Sign in to the LinkedIn account that published the post.

Navigate to the post you wish to delete.

Manually delete the post from LinkedIn.

The post must be removed directly through LinkedIn after it has been published.

Troubleshooting failed scheduled posts

In some cases, an automated post may take a short amount of time to appear after its scheduled publishing time.

A small delay does not always indicate a problem.

If a post:

  • Takes an unusually long time to publish

  • Does not publish at all

  • Continues failing after multiple attempts

Contact support for assistance.

What to keep in mind

Managing content in Latitude allows you to control your entire posting workflow, from creating drafts to scheduling and reusing content.

Remember that published LinkedIn posts cannot be edited through Latitude, and deleting content in Latitude does not remove posts that have already been published on LinkedIn.
